The shuffling of the offensive coaching staff has begun.
Coach Hue Jackson will hire Adam Henry as receivers coach, with the move expected to be finalized Friday.
Henry was Jackson’s tight ends coach in 2011 in Jackson’s only season as coach of the Oakland Raiders.
Longtime coach Al Saunders will transition into a senior advisory role for Jackson after two years leading the receivers.
Henry spent the last two years as receivers coach with the Giants, working with three-time Pro Bowler Odell Beckham Jr. He worked for Elyria Sports Hall of Famer Les Miles at LSU from 2012-14, coaching Beckham and Jarvis Landry, who’s a two-time Pro Bowler with the Miami Dolphins.
Henry agreed to a three-year deal, his agent told NFL Network.
Jackson is interviewing candidates to be offensive coordinator, including Texans quarterbacks coach Sean Ryan.
Special teams coordinator Chris Tabor will leave for the same job with the Chicago Bears, the Chicago Tribune reported Wednesday.
The Browns signed six players to the reserve/futures list: defensive linemen Ricky Ali’ifua and Jeremy Faulk, linebacker Max Bullough, offensive lineman Joseph Cheek, running back Kelvin Taylor and defensive back Corey White.
