PITTSFORD, N.Y. — Receiver Corey Coleman has joined the Buffalo Bills and says he has something to prove after two disappointing seasons in Cleveland.
That’s the message Coleman posted on his Instagram account that featured a video of him showing off his new Bills No. 19 jersey. And it’s something Coleman repeated following his first practice with Buffalo at training camp in suburban Rochester on Tuesday, two days after being acquired in a trade with the Browns.
Coleman says it “feels good to be wanted,” and doesn’t want to let down the Bills.
In Cleveland, Coleman never came close to playing up to the Browns’ expectations after being selected 15th overall in the 2016 draft. He was beset by injuries, off-field issues and dropped passes.
The Bills gave up a 2020 seventh-round draft pick to acquire Coleman in attempting to address a position that lacks experienced and proven talent behind starter Kelvin Benjamin.
