Browns agree to stay in Berea through 2039

The Browns’ connection with Berea will continue for the foreseeable future.

They’ve reached an agreement that will keep the team in the city through at least 2039. The previous agreement ran through 2029.

“We greatly appreciate our partnership with the City of Berea and are really excited about it remaining our home,” Browns senior vice president of communications Peter John-Baptiste said in a statement released to media. “Training camp will open next month and we look forward to continuing our tradition of hosting open practices that give our fans an up-close and personal experience as our team prepares for the 2019 season.”

The Browns moved into the suburban headquarters in 1991.

The city of Berea owns the facility and leases it to the team.
