Receivers KhaDarel Hodge (hamstring) and Taywan Taylor (neck) were ruled out for the game Sunday vs. the Titans. They didn’t practice Friday.
The Browns are down to three healthy receivers on the active roster, and coach Kevin Stefanski said one will likely be promoted from the practice squad. Ja’Marcus Bradley and Derrick Willies are the candidates.
Hodge, who’s been the No. 3 receiver but also used as the lone wideout in three-tight end formations, injured the hamstring running a route Thursday. Stefanski said it’s not the same hamstring that sent Hodge to injured reserve earlier this season.
Taylor doesn’t have a catch in three games this year. Stefanski said he suffered a fluke neck injury and didn’t know how much time he’ll miss.
Rookie sixth-round pick Donovan Peoples-Jones will move into the No. 3 role behind Jarvis Landry and Rashard Higgins. Peoples-Jones caught the 24-yard winning touchdown in Cincinnati.
