The Browns’ lone home preseason game will be a rare afternoon start, as they host the New York Giants on Sunday, Aug. 22, at 1 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The dates and times of the three preseason games were released Tuesday. The opponents were already known.
The Browns open the exhibition season Saturday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m. at Jacksonville. Rookie quarterback Trevor Lawrence, the No. 1 pick in the draft, and former Ohio State coach Urban Meyer will be expected to make their NFL debuts for the Jaguars.
The Browns will wrap up the preseason Sunday, Aug. 29, at 8 p.m. in Atlanta.
News 5 Cleveland will air the first two games, and NBC will show the finale nationally.
The preseason was trimmed from four games to three this year after the addition of a 17th regular-season game. The Browns will have two weeks between the Falcons game and the regular-season opener Sept. 12 in Kansas City.
The roster must be cut to the regular-season limit of 53 on Aug. 31.
