The Browns are adding depth at guard.
Wes Martin is expected to sign this week, a league source confirmed to The Chronicle-Telegram on Sunday.
Analysis: Trade for Elijah Moore adds to productive offseason, but significant questions linger
Martin, 26, started 11 of 38 games in three years with Washington and one with the Giants. He appeared in six games in 2022 with Washington.
The West Milton, Ohio, native is expected to back up starting guards Joel Bitonio and Wyatt Teller. Hjalte Froholdt was the No. 3 guard last season but signed with Arizona earlier this month as a free agent.
Martin (6-foot-3, 315 pounds) was a fourth-round pick of Washington in 2019 out of Indiana University.
The only offseason move on the line for the Browns to this point was re-signing starting center Ethan Pocic.
