Notes: Mike Hall Jr. signs contract, completing rookie class

The Browns’ draft class is under contract.

The first to be drafted was the last to sign.

Defensive tackle Mike Hall Jr., a second-round pick out of Ohio State, signed a four-year, $7.1 million contract Friday, the team announced. The other five picks signed last month.

He graduated from Streetsboro High School.

WALK THE LINE

The Browns tweaked the roster ahead of mandatory minicamp next week.

Guard Wyatt Davis was signed, and defensive tackle Jayden Peevy was waived to make room.

Davis (6-4, 315) is in his fourth season out of Ohio State. He was a third-round pick of the Vikings in 2021 and has appeared in nine games with the Vikings, Giants, Saints and Cardinals.

He spent last year on injured reserve with the Giants after an ankle injury during the preseason.

His grandfather is Pro Football Hall of Famer Willie Davis, a defensive lineman who started his career with the Browns in 1958 but spent the majority of it with the Packers.
