Sanders is the backup to Deshaun Watson, who has a tenuous hold on the starting job heading into Sunday’s game against the Buccaneers. If Watson struggles like he did in the opening loss to Jacksonville, Sanders could replace him as the starter for the home opener Sept. 27 against the Panthers.

Horn (5-foot-8, 174 pounds) was a sixth-round pick of the Panthers in 2025. He had 11 catches for 108 yards in 13 games as a rookie.

He returned five kickoffs for 101 yards and two punts for 17 yards Sunday, then the Panthers waived him Tuesday.

In two years at Colorado, Horn had 95 catches for 1,008 yards and seven touchdowns.
